Washington, DC (PRWEB) July 16, 2008 -- The National Newspaper Association (NNA) unveiled last week a new pay-per-click advertising (http://www.BrandClik.com) platform designed to deliver increased results to advertisers, enhance the online experience for readers, and bolster the bottom line for community newspapers utilizing the service.
The service, named NewzClik, has completed Beta testing and is being launched by several NNA member publications during the month of July. "We are pleased to make this robust application available to our members immediately," said Steve Haynes, NNA President, in making today's announcement before a group of 35 newspaper executives attending an NNA "summit" here. "Advertisers can now have ads linked to text that mentions their brand names or generic key words, and pay for those ads on a per-click basis," Haynes noted.
"We've tested NewsClik in beta form on our St. Joseph sites" commented Marty Novak, Director of Digital Media with NPG Newspapers Inc., "and have found the product to be extremely useful, offering tremendous opportunities. We look forward to the full launch and live integration of the product in our sites."
Haynes also said that NNA will soon release an ad link program for online coupons, based on the NewzClik technology. "With the tightening economy, we already see that consumers are looking for ways to save. Newspaper online coupons, promoted in combination with our proven print distribution, is an ideal way for advertisers to target shoppers with great values."
Publishers using NewzClik receive a pre-determined payment for each clickable link and advertisers and ad agencies can pick and choose from variety of geographic and demographic purchase combinations.
NewzClik has a robust set of rules and administrative functions that allow advertisers to control their placement in specific sections of the newspaper Web site and set daily spending caps and other targeting rules. Benchmarking with other advertisers is also available in the online, real time management system.
Newspapers also have a strong set of rules and administrative functions that can control the number of links per story or page to better manage the reader experience.
NewzClik is available through the NNA's eCommerce partnership with CentraMart Services and is provided by BrandClik, a Reston-based technology company. More information about the program is available at www.BrandClik.com or by calling toll free 866-789-CLIK (2545).
CentraMart is the exclusive eCommerce member service of NNA. The firm's proprietary Web2Web business development program provides online products and services that create new revenue opportunities for NNA's 3,000 newspapers.
Established in 1885, the National Newspaper Association is the voice of America's community newspapers and the oldest national newspaper association in the country. The nation's community newspapers inform, educate and entertain more than 60 million readers every week.
