Southlake, Tex. (PRWEB) April 28, 2008 -- Southlake Chamber of Commerce Chairman Randall McCauley presented the 2008 Chairman's Award for outstanding service to the Chamber, sponsored by First Financial Bank, to i5 web works founders Michael Burns and Carita Weaver.

The award, presented at the annual membership meeting, recognizes individuals whose efforts most directly help the Chamber chairman reach stated objectives during the chairman's term in office. A top priority for McCauley was updating the Southlake Chamber's image locally and internationally through a comprehensive Website update.

Weaver and Burns were up to the challenge of improving on the previous award-winning design - i5 did that one, too. Weaver said because the Internet constantly changes, even the best Websites must change over time or loose relevance.

The new site won a design award before it made its public debut. Burns said the job was made much easier because of the strong leadership of Chamber officers and staff, especially President Giovanna Phillips. "Giovanna's energy and vision provided the focused leadership needed to make this a great team effort," Burns said.
